Why do online shoppers buy on the web instead of the high street? For 54%, it’s the ease of being able to compare prices online, whilst for 51% it’s all about having more choice. 46% put it down to the convenience of being able to search quickly and easily, whilst comfort is key for 44% who like to shop from home.
Most online shoppers were pretty pleased with the last delivery they had, with a huge 93% of respondents saying they were satisfied (down only slightly from 94% in 2018). As usual, trust and brand awareness continue to have a big impact, with Royal Mail continuing to lead the way.
For delivery updates, expectations are pretty consistent across the board, with a third of shoppers expecting to receive information on the day of delivery, within 24 hours of order or the day before delivery is due to take place.
