Job description

IPC’s Strategy 2028 emphasizes the creation of Core Connectivity among its members, enabling a seamless network for cross-border e-commerce and fostering sustainable growth through competitive advantage.

To achieve this, we seek to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly complex and dynamic market. AI and ML will play a pivotal role in supply chain optimization, predictive analytics, and customer service, supporting IPC’s mission to drive innovation and efficiency across the postal industry.

As the center of knowledge for AI/ML, this role will guide IPC and its stakeholders in adopting and integrating AI-driven solutions effectively. A deep understanding of supply chain business models and the ability to translate AI/ML capabilities into tangible business value is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Business-driven AI/ML opportunity inventory: Identify and assess current and future AI/ML opportunities to enhance IPC solutions, reduce costs, and provide competitive advantages to the postal industry.
  • AI/ML strategic roadmap: Develop and implement a roadmap aligned with IPC’s Strategy 2028 to integrate AI/ML capabilities effectively.
  • Center of Excellence: Act as the central knowledge hub for AI/ML, providing expertise, guidance, and best practices for AI-driven innovations.
  • AI/ML community building: Establish a knowledge-sharing network among IPC members and industry stakeholders to promote best practices and co-develop AI/ML solutions.
  • Continuous improvement: Maintain and expand IPC’s AI/ML solutions, ensuring they evolve with industry advancements.
  • Implementation support: Provide AI/ML training, ad-hoc support, and guidance for deployment strategies.
  • Customer satisfaction & adoption: Enhance member satisfaction by increasing the usage and effectiveness of AI/ML-powered IPC solutions.

Profile

You have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields, preferably with AI/ML expertise.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain business models and their intersection with AI/ML.
  • Deep knowledge of databases and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to extract business insights from AI/ML applications.
  • Hands-on experience in AI/ML applications for supply chain, logistics, or e-commerce.
  • Strong ability to understand, assess, and drive AI/ML adoption rather than develop solutions from scratch.
  • Proven ability to envision AI/ML trends and anticipate their business impact over the next 4-6 years.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning from a business application standpoint.
  • Expertise in data analysis, business intelligence, and AI-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate AI/ML insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

You are:

  • Independent and resilient.
  • Self-motivated with a “say yes” approach.
  • Strategic thinker.
