The non-profit organization CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) has ranked La Poste group and La Banque Postale among the leaders in environmental ESG. On February 6, 2025, the Group was awarded an A rating in recognition of its commitment to the planet and the positive impact of its environmental actions.

At the beginning of 2025, La Poste group joined the CDP's highly restricted Climate List A, which recognizes the transparency of its approach and its actions in favour of the environment. This extra-financial rating reinforces those already obtained in the autumn of 2024 : the gold medal from EcoVadis and the n°1 worldwide status, all sectors included, awarded by Moody's ESG Assessment.

CDP's “Climate List A”, a prestigious recognition
Among the 24,000 companies assessed by the CDP for their environmental reporting performance, La Poste group ranks in the “Climate List A”. Nearly 400 companies worldwide are on this list, and fewer than 5 companies in the transport and logistics sector in Europe.
To improve its extra-financial performance and join the select group of leading companies according to the CDP, La Poste group has implemented a number of measures that have strengthened the robustness of its reporting :

Inventory and full integration of scope 3 (1) in the measurement of its greenhouse gas emissions ;

Science-Based Target initiative (2) certification of its carbon trajectories to 2030 and 2040 ;

The carbon budget, which has been deployed for all the Group's divisions, makes it possible to manage the reduction of its carbon emissions in line with its certified trajectories, while ensuring rigorous management of the associated resources, costs and investments.

Climate risk mapping in line with the principles of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (3), which helps to strengthen La Banque Postale's resilience in the face of climate-related challenges. In addition to this updated mapping, La Banque Postale is among the first companies in its sector to publish a TCFD-TNFD report (4).

Extra-financial performance recognized worldwide.
This new rating comes on top of those awarded by EcoVadis and Moody's in autumn 2024, which have also improved significantly. Last September, EcoVadis rewarded the strengthening of the Group's sustainable practices across all its operations with a Gold Medal, and a score of 79/100 (up two points on 2023). Two months later, in November, Moody's positioned La Poste group at the top of its worldwide ranking, all sectors included, with a score of 81/100 (up 4 points on the previous year).

(1): Scope 3 of a company's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions corresponds to emissions induced by upstream and downstream processes, such as the extraction of materials and the purchase of products and services, and transportation by external service providers (including that of employees and customers purchasing the product).

(2): The Science-based Target Initiative (SBTi) helps companies reduce their carbon footprint. This rating organization's certification methodology is aligned with the IPCC recommendations.

(3): The Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is a working group on climate-related financial disclosures and risks, set up at the request of the G20. Its aim is to encourage companies to communicate transparently with investors.

(4): The Taskforce on nature-related financial disclosures (TFND) draws up recommendations on the assessment, management and reporting of nature-related risks, with a view to directing financial flows towards biodiversity-friendly activities. It builds on the work of the TCFD.
