DPD CZ has increased capacity ready for peak season with the opening of its largest depot in the Czech Republic.

Strategically located on the D35 motorway in Dolní Ředice near Pardubice, a medium-sized town east of Prague, the new depot has a built-up area of more than 5,100 sq m and is capable of handling 5,000 parcels per hour. During full operation, 139 couriers will depart from the Pardubice depot, serving the surrounding region.

Thanks to this depot, the company’s 23rd location in the Czech Republic, DPD CZ has made its capacity more efficient and significantly strengthened before Christmas, especially in the region of Eastern Bohemia.

Miloš Malaník, CEO of DPD CZ, said: “For us, the Pardubice depot is an important part of our delivery network. We are glad that it was successfully completed and fully involved in the coming Christmas season, when shipment volumes will increase by an estimated 40–⁠50% compared to normal days.”
