According to the chairman of the Omniva management board, Ansi Arumeel, it is great to see another expert of their field joining the company. “Since as a member of the board the CFO also plays a significant part in designing and executing the company strategy, Ahto Pärl’s experience not only as a CFO but also as the top leader in different areas is very valuable,” Arumeel said.
Ahto Pärl says that the factors pushing him towards Omniva were the company’s fast development in the international parcel and IT business domains, as well as the challenges with providing traditional postal service in Estonia and the strategic options. “Omniva’s capability to perform simultaneously on markets that are very traditional and have strict regulations and on new and growing markets has made an impression. This allows me to implement what I have learned and experienced in different economic sectors and to grow with the company,” Pärl said.
Previously, Ahto Pärl has worked in different managerial positions in Estonia and the US in the financial, aviation and production sectors, including as the CFO in Nordic Aviation Group AS, as the CEO in Wallester AS and Infotar Group’s company AS Vaba Maa, and participated in the councils of Ekspress Grupp and Baltic Workboats.
Ahto Pärl has an MBA in business management from New York University and a BA in economics from the University of Tartu.
