After almost 25 years at PostNL, of which the last 7 years as CFO, Jan Bos informed the Supervisory Board that he will step down. Mr. Bos will step down sometime after the 2018 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which date will depend on the appointment date of the new CFO to facilitate a smooth transition. Mr. Bos will remain available for PostNL until at least that time. The Supervisory Board will initiate the search for Mr. Bos’s successor as soon as possible and strives to announce such successor ultimately when convening the 2018 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
Jan Bos, CFO PostNL: “I look back with joy and gratitude at the period that I have been able to contribute to the development and transformation of PostNL. In my period as CFO, together with Herna Verhagen, I have seen PostNL become a financially healthy company. In the meantime, we are working hard on the acceleration of the transformation to be the postal and logistic service provider in the Benelux, together with the new Executive Committee and our employees. I have decided to step down before the end of my term, because I look forward to a new challenge after almost 25 years at PostNL. By announcing my departure now, I will be able to contribute to a smooth transition and prepare myself for a next step in all openness”.
Herna Verhagen, CEO PostNL: “Although I appreciate and accept Jan’s decision, I will miss him. He means a lot to me, as a colleague and as a person. We have been through a lot together. Fortunately, we will continue working together for the coming months and will we close a beautiful period together.”
Jacques Wallage, chairman Supervisory Board PostNL: “We regret and at the same time respect Jan’s decision to step down and are delighted that he will remain available as long as necessary to facilitate a smooth transition to his successor. Jan has contributed significantly to the development of PostNL and we owe him enormous gratitude for his efforts, commitment and loyalty. I think I speak on behalf of everyone within PostNL when I say that we will miss him. We wish him all the best with his next step in his career”.
