UPS-owned Freightex, a Europe-based asset-light provider of full truckload, LTL, refrigerated, and specialized road freight services, is re-branding to Coyote Logistics to align with the larger US business. Freightex, founded in 2001 in Dover, U.K., was acquired by UPS in January 2017. The purchase came two years after UPS acquired US company Coyote Logistics in August 2015. The acquisition of Freightex helped establish both UPS and Coyote's presence in the growing European third-party logistics (3PL) market, the company explained. Coyote provides truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, air and ocean brokerage services, and transportation management services to more than 14,000 shippers of various sizes and industries.
