IPC is looking for an operational data analyst to support the Network Management and Innovation Team business experts by providing enhanced analysis of operational data across multiple systems.

Job description

Combining technical analysis skills with on-the-job knowledge of business challenges, the analyst will contribute to support the users through advanced data analysis, to the upgrade and optimization of the different tools by identifying areas of improvement and will ensure the consistency in the development of such tools. The analyst will support the Service Desk in the efficient management of incidents related to the different tools and will support the end users through training and user guide updates. The analyst will report to the Senior Manager Network Integration. 

Job Specifications

  •  Validation (consistency and completeness) of Functional Analysis vs BRS in support of the Business Analyst 
  • UAT testing of the applications and reporting to project team and business owner
  • Set up Test Plan based on BRS and testing applications in UAT vs Test Plan and BRS
  • Analysis of data vs business rules defined for applications
  • Be proactive to identify and propose improvements, more specifically on business rules and design models applied in conjunction with the operational experts
  • Provide second- and third-line support in close cooperation with the Service Desk
  • Ad hoc data analysis to respond to customer’s/service managers’ inquiries
  • Validation of analyses and reports designed by the analysis and reporting teams
  • Close cooperation with Service Desk and colleagues responsible for the reporting tools and applications concerned on incident handling for relevant applications and services
  • Close cooperation with managers and experts in the team on improvement options and innovation opportunities regarding reporting tools and applications
  • Share expertise and provide guidance to colleagues in other team (Service Desk, PPMACS, reporting) to support their analyses.
  • User guides and business rules documentation updates

Knowledge & Experience

  •  University or similar higher education degree and minimum of three years relevant working experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Willing to learn by doing 
  • Experience in second- and third-line support 
  • Good spoken/ written English
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience in providing training on tools and building user guides is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software applications
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB (XE), SQL is a plus
  • Experience with Business Intelligence applications (knowledge of Microstrategy) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of postal EDI is a plus
  • Experience in the postal industry is a plus
  • Pro-active, flexible and perseverant
