The agreement allows both companies to make the best use of their experiences in the real estate sector, and to focus on the search for opportunities for European co-investment in the main asset classes (with a focus on offices and retail) mainly for the coverage of technical reserves of two of the main operators in the Italian insurance business.
The agreement represents an innovative initiative and a unique opportunity for the two institutional investors to share strategies and selection criteria for investments, generating significant synergies in the real estate sector. Each party’s investment commitment in the program will be € 200 million, for a total of € 400 million. The management and development of investments will be entrusted to Generali Real Estate SpA SGR, which already manages the real estate funds of the Generali Group.
