The 9th quarterly online Comms Workshop took place on the 17th of February. The workshop looked at how communications, with both external and internal stakeholders, has evolved after Covid, but also how far communications has been affected by the current crisis linked to the war in Ukraine and the increase of energy prices. The workshop looked at how events have evolved following the pandemic and whether the expectations for more digital or hybrid events had materialised. It also looked at how internal communication had evolved.
Several experts and colleagues from IPC member posts shared their experience. Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director / CEO, UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, shared his views on how events were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and how events of the future would look like. Alexander Edenhofer, Spokesperson, Deutsche Post DHL Group, gave an overview of how DPDHL had reacted to the crisis and how communications but also perception of the postal industry changed since then.
