The session will introduce the COMETS Service of IPC. COMETS stands for Central Operational Message Exchange and Translation Services. It will explain all key message flows related with international postal traffic and with import obligations and how the COMETS service can help postal operators to implement them in their supply chain and IT systems. The sessions will give an overview of key import regulations, like the EU ICS2 (Import Control System 2) and how they relate to the UPU regulations. The session covers the IT architecture and tools and how these can be integrated with local processes and IT systems.
