Austrian Post strenghtens its parcel locker network with an additional post station at Lentia City in Linz

Equipped with 28 modules and 295 compartments, the new locker – put into operation this spring – significantly increases the site’s parcel capacity. It perfectly complements the existing station with 22 modules and 287 compartments, which has been in use since autumn 2017. Customers and delivery personnel benefit from the expanded storage space, which allows for more flexible and convenient use – even during peak parcel volumes. In total, 582 compartments are now available at Lentia City, offering a greatly increased capacity for daily parcel handling.

Convenience that fits everyday life
Whether before shopping, during lunch break or late at night – the new post station in Lentia City is accessible around the clock in the indoor area next to the post office branch. It ideally supplements the original locker, which has been operating successfully for years. Together, the two stations offer even more convenience and flexibility, enabling parcel pickup to be seamlessly integrate into everyday routines without stress or time pressure.

Beyond the practical benefits for users, post stations like the one at Lentia City also contribute to sustainability. By consolidating deliveries at a central point, many individual household stops can be eliminated. Instead of delivering each parcel separately to various private addresses, shipments are efficiently deposited at a nearby station. This leads to substantial savings in travel distances and emissions.
