During 2025, Omniva will gradually discontinue the Western Union RushCard service in post offices, as this service is currently little used, but carries money laundering risk.

The Western Union RushCard service is for sending money from a post office to friends, relatives or acquaintances in other countries. However, with the development of secure digital international money transfer services, the usability of sending money via a post office has decreased significantly. At the same time, since this service is used for cash transfers also, the service carries higher money laundering and fraud risks.

Therefore, starting from March 30, 2025, Omniva will only offer the Western Union RushCard service at the Paide post office. By November 2025, this service will be discontinued in all Estonian post offices.

This decision aligns with Omniva’s commitment to improving operational efficiency and successful risk management. We encourage customers to explore secure digital options for international money transfers.
