In addition, thanks to Mustafa Tonguç's leadership, the Turkish sales team has achieved a major commercial turnaround, transforming Turkey from a volume-driven mindset to one of the most profitable countries in Europe," Pearson further explains. DHL Express Turkey was named a Great Place To WorkTM for the fourth consecutive year in 2023 under Mustafa Tonguç's leadership. As Managing Director in Germany, his focus will be on the expansion of a modernized infrastructure, which has been a major focus at DHL Express in recent years, as well as employee engagement in the best possible working environment. DHL Express Germany achieved certification from Great Place to WorkTM at the first attempt and reached 5th place.
Mustafa Tonguç started his career in Deutsche Post DHL Group in 1997 as an Operations Agent in the Frankfurt Hub. Since then, he has held various roles within the Hubs and Gateways organization, including the Leipzig Hub. In 2011, he became Managing Director Performance and Programs Europe to further improve service quality within the European Express organization. In 2014, he moved to Turkey as Head of Operations, then became Head of Sales before taking on the position as Managing Director Turkey in May 2021.
