Sellers will now find International services available in the existing eBay Royal Mail shipping journeys and can buy and print labels in the same way as they do for domestic Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide services.
This follows eBay’s enrolment into IOSS* last year, enabling business customers to download eBay orders directly to their Royal Mail business account. This helps to ensure a simpler process for orders being sent to the EU. With the launch of the Royal Mail International services on the eBay platform, non-account business and consumer sellers now have the same easy access to IOSS as business customers to the EU and global markets.
Parcel Collect
eBay marketplace sellers who purchase Royal Mail International services will also be able to book a collection via Royal Mail’s Parcel Collect. Marketplace sellers will also be able to use over 14,000 access points including parcel postboxes, Post Office and Royal Mail Customer Service Points.
Nick Landon, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Mail, said: “Selling internationally has become more complex over the last two years as everyone knows. But exporting opens up huge additional markets for all sellers. Because it’s so important we have worked with eBay to make it as easy as possible for you to export, enhancing the Royal Mail International services you know and trust with new capabilities you can access without leaving the eBay site. If you haven’t exported before or you stopped because it all looked too complex, why not try it now. We can help you to grow faster and serve a whole world of new customers.”
Murray Lambell, General Manager at eBay UK said: “eBay serves as a gateway for over 300,000 small businesses in the UK to access the marketplace’s global audience of buyers. Alongside the eBay Global Shipping Programme, we welcome Royal Mail International as yet another means of support for sellers to start or boost their export sales, presenting more choice and flexibility for the diverse range of businesses on the platform.”
