IPC Best Practice Seminar on Delivery Networks, 19-20 March 2008
In many ways the delivery or ‘last mile’ activity defines the role of a national postal operator. It represents the biggest cost component of postal operations and the high fixed cost, high labour content of the function characterises both the strengths and weaknesses of the modern postal company. Delivery touches every citizen and represents the face and brand of the mails business. This seminar outlined current and future delivery issues as influenced by market and regulatory trends, and labour best practice management. Unaddressed mail was also given a special segment.
