IPC Best Practice Seminar on Absence Management, 2007
Absence Management in the postal industry accounts for between 2 and 4.5 percent of operating costs and is a major issue for the postal industry due to labour intensity. It is a key element of business performance and productivity growth. Absence management is also an indicator of worker commitment, success of change, quality management approach and a measure of front-line manager control.
