IPC Best Practice Seminars on Marketing Green Products, February 2011
Our Best Practice Seminars benchmark the environmental sustainability and carbon measurement processes of members, global companies and international environmental best practice.
IPC surveyed its 22 EMMS 2010 participants to investigate the range of strategies used by the postal sector to bring green products to market. We issued questionnaires to understand product features and product claims used in green product development, the chosen marketing approach, price setting and ways to communicate the success of marketing. The questionnaires targeted four different areas: a general questionnaire (focussing on understanding the reasons for specific carbon emissions compensation schemes selection) and three questionnaires targeting different postal product groups: Letter Mail, Parcels and Packages and Advertising Mail.
